Belinda Hammond

About

Belinda received a BA in Child Development and an MA in Educational Psychology, both from California State University Northridge, an MS in Sports & Health Science from American Public University, and an EdD in Educational Leadership from California State University Fresno. Belinda has been a Certified Child Life Specialist for over 25 years, and is the creator of the Child Life Community Practicum offered virtually. Belinda is a Senior Lecturer at Eastern Washington University in Child Life / Children's Studies, and is the Founder / Director of Academic Programming, Development & Outreach of Child Life Connection, providing mentorship for academic and clinical professionals to best support healthy coping for children and their families. Belinda supported the creation of the Child Life academic course offerings at Sonoma State, and has been teaching Child Life Theory here since Spring 2025.
